On October 15th, 2021,  Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Prishtina organized a round table with the topic “Gender Equality in Research and Innovation – Fostering gender balance in research teams”, as part of the Erasmus+ DRIVE project. Representatives from regional partner universities, participated in the round table discussions. The round table was opened by Vice Rector of University of Prishtina, Mrs. Mimoza Ibrani. Invited panelists in the round table were: Prof. Asoc. Vjollca Komoni and Prof. Dr. Sabrije Osmanaj, from University of Prishtina. Panelists shared their experiences and challenges while building carreers in academia and research, and in particular discussed challenges faced by women in engineering fields. Other panelists included Prof. Ass. Valdete Rexhebeqaj Hamiti, Prof. Ass. Dhurata Hyseni and Ass.Msc. Jeta Dobruna, who also shared their experiences on studying and working in engineering fields with the participants of the workshop from partner institutions. Besides the roundtable talks, one video message regarding the same topic was shown to the participants from Prof. Ass. Hena Maloku and alumni MSc. Agnesa Avdiu. This was followed by a Q&A session, during which participants asked question and discussed about the topic.
